Coach Agreement

You're an independent coach

• You coach on HIGHERUP as an independent contractor, not an employee. You choose when you work and how you coach.
• You're responsible for your own taxes. We'll ask for a W-9 before your first payout and send tax forms when the law requires.
• Your profile goes live once our team approves you after a call and interview. We may ask for more information, including a background check, at any time.

Our standards

HIGHERUP exists to help young athletes believe in themselves, chase their dreams, serve others and reach their potential. As a coach, you agree to:

• Encourage first. Be honest and specific, and leave every athlete believing in themselves a little more.
• Keep it appropriate. Every breakdown and message should be something a parent would be glad to watch.
• Protect young athletes. Communicate with athletes and families through HIGHERUP. Don't contact a minor directly outside the platform, or ask for personal contact information, without a parent or guardian's clear permission.
• Respect their film. Use an athlete's film only to create their breakdown. Don't download it, share it, or post it anywhere.
• Keep business on HIGHERUP. Don't take payment outside the platform from families who found you here.

Delivering breakdowns

• Families are told their coach will respond within 24 hours and their breakdown will arrive in 2 to 4 days. Respond within 24 hours of film reaching your queue by opening it and getting started, and send the breakdown within 4 days.
• If you can't, switch your profile to "Taking a break" or let our team know, so we can take care of the family.

Pricing and pay

• You set your own prices for breakdowns, packages, monthly coaching, and guides or videos.
• HIGHERUP keeps 18% of each sale as its platform fee. You earn 82%. For example, on a $35 breakdown you earn $28.70. HIGHERUP covers payment processing fees out of its share.
• You earn a breakdown once you've sent it. You earn store sales once the family's payment is complete.
• We pay what you've earned weekly by bank transfer. Your dashboard shows what you've earned and what's been paid.
• If a family gets a refund under our Terms, for example because a breakdown wasn't delivered, that sale isn't paid out, or is taken from a later payout if it was already paid.

Your profile and content

• You give HIGHERUP permission to show your name, photos, profile and quotes on the site and in our marketing.
• You own the guides and videos you create. You give HIGHERUP permission to host, sell and deliver them to buyers, who keep lifetime access to anything they've bought.
• Only upload photos and content you have the right to use.

Ending the agreement

You can stop coaching anytime by letting us know. We'll pay what you've earned. HIGHERUP may pause or remove a coach who doesn't follow this agreement, especially our standards with young athletes.
